Tonight at our Church we held our annual Christmas Café. We get together with friends, very talented people get up and perform, and there are snacks and hot chocolate for everyone. This year my two youngest Daughters Caile and Ella along with my twin nieces decided they would sing The First Noel. They did aContinue reading “Christmas Café with Hot Chocolate”

Good For Something
While tucking my son into bed tonight I gave him a hug, told him I loved him, and started leaving the room. He called me back. “Just one more hug! Ah, I like you because you’re warm.” At least I’m good for something I guess.
Figuring it all out
My family went to see the Big Hero 6 movie yesterday and they all enjoyed it. My son is obviously growing as he came to a realization at the movie. You know the good guys always win in the movies and the bad guys always lose.
Popcorn For The Show
Earlier in the day my wife was trying to take down a borrowed folding play pen which was used to nap a visiting child. Apparently it didn’t go so well so it was still up when I arrived home from work. I was coming up stairs just as my wife was starting on her secondContinue reading “Popcorn For The Show”
Four Year Old Burn
Yesterday I left work a bit early to meet up with the rest of my family for an ice cream after school. My oldest, in a new school for grade nine this year, was proud to tell me she joined her first extra curricular club. She wanted me to guess what she had joined though.Continue reading “Four Year Old Burn”

My nine year old daughter comes up to me a coupleContinue reading “I Know What You’re Talking About”

A couple months ago my son was asking my wife about her wedding rings. He wanted to know why she had two different rings. Jen explained to him that one was the wedding band and one was the ring I gave her when I asked her to marry me. “Mommy, why did Daddy ask youContinue reading “When You’re Right, You’re Right”
It’s Rough Getting Old
A couple weeks ago my nine year old daughter sort of limps up to me. She takes her right leg and moves it back and forth and says, “when I do this it hurts my leg”. She then proceeds to do something very similar with her left leg but moving it in a different fashion,Continue reading “It’s Rough Getting Old”
New Pajamas
My youngest, and only boy, was quickly growing out of all his cool pajamas that are good for hot summer nights. So my wife picked him up some boxer type shorts and tank top style undershirts to use. He was thrilled. The first night after he got ready for bed, we came back downstairs onContinue reading “New Pajamas”
