Getting ready for bed Noah wanted to have blueberries for a snack. He had already eaten them a couple times during the day and can go through quite a few. Jen told him he couldn’t have any more today or else he would turn into a blueberry. Without missing a beat he said: That’s whatContinue reading “No More Blueberries”

Shadowy Figures
Yesterday after supper we took the kids to go swimming. Noah was done before anyone else so he and I went for a walk. He turned a corner and he looked down. Look Dad my shadow is almost as tall as yours.
Dad Joke
On the drive to dance class Ella and I ended up in a conversation about house numbers. She speculated that having a house number like 1 would make it easier to remember. Showing her where number 1 on our street was I said I wouldn’t want to live there because it is at the beginningContinue reading “Dad Joke”
That’s not a R
Noah was making a Father’s Day card today for his Grandfather. He had me write out the words on paper so he could spell them right. I’ve never been known for my penmanship. All the kids just arrived home from school so there were eleven of them in the kitchen eating snacks of homemade peanut butter chocolate chip cookies and apple slices. We are having breakfast for supper tonight. When dishing everything out Jen asked the kids, “how many pieces of bacon do you want?” Ella and Caile each say 1 or 2. Noah chimes in: I’ll have all the pieces of bacon that are left
I don’t care what you call her
We were in Costco today and Noah saw someone he knows from school. It’s funny because Costco is over an hour away but we almost always run into someone we know. As we walked past Noah said “Hi Lara” I asked, is her name Laura? The store was busy and it was hard to hear. Continue reading “I don’t care what you call her”
