Once again this morning my alarm seems not to be working. It did go off at 6:00 am but I was already up looking at this view.
This is our last morning on Hampton Beach and I’m a bit sad. It means vacation is almost over, but I really enjoy this beach. So thankful we get to spend a bit more time here this morning before heading out.
This morning I was awake right about 5:30am because I had managed to get to bed at a decent time last night. It looked like a beautiful morning out even though it was a bit chilly I decided to start my morning the way I used to all the time.
Early morning used to be my favourite time to run but I had fallen away from that. Granted that used to be in the summer and warmer periods where it was pretty much light out already and I didn’t need a bunch of layers to stay warm. However this morning reminded me why I liked it so much. The world is still fairly still and quite that time of morning except for a few people likely making the commute to work. It also gives me quite time in the morning to just clear my head and start the day on a positive. The sky was very clear with the moon and the stars still out so the scenery was nice to take in as well.
Not sure I’ll keep this up especially as the weather gets even colder, but if I do it’s also a great way to get my Fitbit steps in. This morning before 7:30 am I had over 8000 steps in!
Early morning always used to be my favourite time to run, but the past while I’ve been having a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. This morning though I forced myself to get up and out the door. It made me happy, there are less people around, it’s cooler and I get to see views like that sunrise in the picture here.
This was the best run I’ve had in a while. Still a lot slower than I want to be but I only stopped to walk once for about 30 seconds, and just long enough to snap that picture. So far I’ve done 20k this week and my legs are feeling stronger. The weight is starting to come back off as well thanks to this and much improved eating again.
It was a beautiful morning, perfect for running. I pushed it and managed a 5K with only one short walking break and long enough to snap this picture. Did it with a pace of 6:48 min/km.
This morning I had one awesome view down at the marsh. The most rising up like a dog and the ducks swimming around. Not another soul around.
Then I came home and was taking the garbage to the road. I opened the shed and there was a huge spider standing in the door way not moving. I wish I had of our something in the picture for scale.
This morning I finally did it. I’ve been saying for a long time that I needed to get out running again. Having not been feeling well, and then going on vacation I kept putting it off. I decided last night it was time. Still I managed to stay in bed later than I planned but I got up and went for a run.
Well most people in their right mind wouldn’t call it a run. It was pretty bad. I was very slow and didn’t go very far, but I did it. Now to work to make it a habit again. In a few months time I am going to get to meet my team again and the rest of the company as well. As part of that there are usually lots of fitness activities like morning runs etc and I want to be able to participate. Not to mention I have to get up in front of a bunch of them and give a flash talk. That is going to be hard enough for me, I may as well look my best when I do it.
It was a beautiful morning for being out at the marsh though.
For once we were actually running a little early for church this morning. Jen decided to take advantage and run into Wal-Mart quick to pick up a couple things so we didn’t have to stop on the way home. We dropped her off at the door to save time and then went and found a parking spot.
It was pretty slow that time of morning so we parked very close to the door. For that reason we were all confused when she came out and started running in the opposite direction of our vehicle. There wasn’t even a vehicle that looked like ours over there. I turns out the woman in front of her had forgotten a bag at the cashier so Jen was running it over to her.
We pulled up to the other car to pick up Jen. From there we laughing about how we couldn’t figure out what she was doing at first. As we were pulling away the cashier came running out of the store. It took a minute but then I noticed Jen’s phone in her hand.
Forgetful morning all around it seems but everything ended up fine and everyone got their things.
