Recently we had our family pictures taken by our good friend and photographer Cheryl Fields. Cheryl did a great job. I love being able to capture our family all together every so often. It makes it fun to look back and see how much we have all changed over the years.

So little time, so much work
Currently I’m in my third week of working two jobs and so far things are going pretty well, but I don’t think it’s anything I could handle long term. Working all day then going home and working some more makes for long days. Throw in working close to full days on the weekends as wellContinue reading “So little time, so much work”
Turning Around A Bad Mood
For the last few days I’ve been letting little things, unimportant things, build up and let them get me down. I know full well these things are temporary and are dwarfed by all the great positive things in my life but for some reason let them get to me anyway. Not today! I let themContinue reading “Turning Around A Bad Mood”
Last First Day of School
Big mile stones in our home today. Like it was for many, this week is back to school week for us. My two middle girls were especially excited about going back to and see all their friends. For them this year will be much of the same, they’re entering grade five and three. They’re staying at theContinue reading “Last First Day of School”
Dear Brianna Lynne
Dear Brianna Lynne, Eleven years ago today, a day that will be forever etched into my memory. Some of the details and the timing of things have started to slip, but the feelings I felt that day will stay with me forever. I’ll be honest, you were a bit of a surprise to your MotherContinue reading “Dear Brianna Lynne”
Horse Show
Alex has been preparing for a long time for today. Today was her horse show. She’s been helping train a green horse Rosie and today was the day she got to show off how far they’ve come. I’m very proud of all the work she put in and she did great on all the eventsContinue reading “Horse Show”
Undeserving
She was very proud when she gave me my award, and with good reason. She is so artistic and creative. When she puts her mind to it, and puts the effort in, she can do great and amazing things. Things I wouldn’t have the patience or the talent to do. Of course I love theContinue reading “Undeserving”
A New Person, New Attitude, and New Goals
Seven and a half months of hard work and change have finally paid off. This morning when I weighed myself I’ve finally hit my goal. My weight is now 178 lbs which means two things, I’ve lost a total of 80 lbs and my BMI is now in the healthy range. See where I wasContinue reading “A New Person, New Attitude, and New Goals”
2014 Family Vacation
We made it through our big family vacation this year. I figured I’d try to write out a bit of an overview of what we did. There was so much packed into a short time that it could be easy to forget if I don’t get it down somewhere. Day 1 – Traveling Day IContinue reading “2014 Family Vacation”
Going with the flow
Some of our vacation hasn’t gone exactly as planned, but that doesn’t mean it hasn’t been great so far. We ended up cancelling our trip into NYC yesterday as everyone felt it was going to be just too much traveling for too little time in the city. This was after we had already started driving. Instead,Continue reading “Going with the flow”
